Mission Statement of We are the Children of Africa Root
We Are the Children of Africa Root is dedicated to uplifting and educating the global African community both in the Diaspora and on the Motherland through a return to ancestral traditions of health, unity, and self-determination. Our mission centers on holistic wellness, maternal and family health, and the creation of sustainable systems that nourish the body and spirit. We address malnutrition, disease, and youth violence through agricultural initiatives, community-led healing, and education. We offer holistic womb wellness workshops, family planning support, and culturally grounded care for women of the African Diaspora. We also provide educational workshops for fathers and families, diaper drives, and access to vital resources that strengthen the roots of our communities. As we build birthing spaces in Burkina Faso, its neighboring cities, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad, and NYC, we plant seeds of healing, knowledge, and collective power honoring the wisdom of our ancestors and the needs of our future generations.
